How long does a typical website project take?+
A standard marketing site takes 3–5 weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger custom builds with CMS integrations or web apps usually run 6–12 weeks. I'll give you a firm timeline in the proposal — and I hit my deadlines.
Do I own the website and the code?+
Yes, 100%. Once final payment clears, all design files, source code, and content are yours. I'll hand over a GitHub repo, deployment access, and full documentation so you're never locked in.
What tech stack do you build with?+
Most projects use React with either Next.js or TanStack Start, Tailwind CSS, and a headless CMS like Sanity or Contentful. For e-commerce I default to Shopify or Stripe-powered custom builds. The stack always serves the project — not the other way around.
Do you work with clients outside the United States?+
Yes. I'm based in Austin, TX but work with clients across North America, Europe, and Australia. Async communication, weekly written updates, and overlapping working hours keep projects smooth across time zones.
Can you take over an existing project from another developer?+
Absolutely. I do a paid audit ($600) of the existing codebase first so we both know what we're dealing with — then I quote the rebuild or rescue work based on what I find.
What if I only need SEO or content, not a new website?+
That's the majority of my retainer clients. I'll audit your existing site, build a 6-month roadmap, and start shipping technical fixes and content within the first two weeks.
How do you measure success?+
Every engagement has clear KPIs written into the proposal — usually organic sessions, keyword rankings, Core Web Vitals scores, and conversion rate. You get a monthly report and a live dashboard.
What's your refund policy?+
If you're unhappy with the first design milestone, you can cancel and I'll refund 100% of the deposit — no questions. After that, project work is billed in milestones and is non-refundable, but you keep everything delivered to that point.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes. Most projects are 40% to start, 30% at design approval, and 30% at launch. For projects over $10K I can split further across monthly milestones.
